An Introduction To The IPad 3 and Review

Every iPad that Apple has released has been a big event, and there's no reason to think that the iPad 3 will be any different. Now that this day has arrived, we can take a close look at the latest iPad and see if all of the hype was justified. Let's now look at the good and bad aspects of the iPad 3, a device that, as of yet, has not been given an official name by Apple.

The new iPad is offering improved ways to connect that include built in Wi-Fi and 4G capability. Most places will allow you to connect to the Internet while traveling, especially if you have AT&T or Verizon. If you travel out of country, a local SIM card can be used for international connections. Having higher speeds is just one of the ways that Apple is making sure that the new iPad is up-to-date. This allows you to send and receive email, surf the internet and chat with your friends. Connecting with your other Apple devices (like a MacBook or an iPod) is possible, regardless of where you may be. You do have to purchase a data plan to activate this, but you can pay by the month without signing a contract.

Making video calls is so much easier with the iPad using FaceTime. You are able to switch back and forth between your new iPad's two cameras to show whatever you want to. If you want people to see you, use the front FaceTime camera. Wherever you are, you can use the iSight camera to show people that you are talking to your surroundings at the moment. To make FaceTime calls, you need an Apple ID, which you can get at the App Store or the iTunes Store. On all supported devices for FaceTime, once the ID is input, you can utilize this feature.

If Flash would have been supported by the original iPad, it would have had a lot less criticism. This is one change that hasn't been done by Apple, yet. Flash features can be found on many websites, and you won't be able to use them. Watching videos will only have limited options. Many people, however, believe that Flash is a feature that is going out of style. Apple is apparently trying to pressure people to use alternatives so that more content is compatible with the iPad. There are many websites and videos that you won't be able to look at because they need flash capability. No matter which iPad you get, this is a limitation you are stuck with. If you choose to upgrade to the iPad 3, you will get a device that has many features, some of which are fun and others are useful. Most people should be happy with Apple and the latest version of their creation, since it continues to be improved. Incompatibility with traditional computers and the lack of Flash are still valid criticisms of all iPads. However, when you consider how much you can do with the new iPad, it's still a good value.
